Our Christmas Cards Tradition Helps Us Stay in the Holiday Spirit

My daughter and I love to get our christmas cards for the next year right after Christmas each year. Most places have the best prices then, and it doesn’t matter whether we find them online or around town since we have plenty of time for them to ship. Between the two of us, our card list has gotten longer and longer each year. We love to keep up with friends and far away family through the mail. We’ve started a tradition where we get together for an afternoon early in December and fill out our cards. It usually takes us all afternoon, and we watch Christmas movies or listen to holiday music while we catch up with each other. Doing our cards together has become so important that we make sure we don’t have any other plans that weekend. My husband usually goes hunting around that time, so we have plenty of time for uninterrupted girl talk.
