Bond 50 Box Set Celebrates 50 Years of James Bond

22 movies and 50 years later, James Bond has reached the half-century mark. Quite an achievement considering the ever changing tastes of the modern movie viewer.

So, what does a bonafideBond’o'phile need to cap his collection of Bond dvd’s? Well the new “Bond 50″ box set that includes all 22 movies in the series as well as nearly 5 days worth of extras like outtakes and casting calls and they’ll all be on Blu-ray. 9 of these movies have never been released on Blu-ray before.

The cost will be $199 in the US and 89 pounds in the UK, not bad for 22 discs. The release date in the UK is October 12, 2012 while the US release date is still unknown.

The only downside is, it won’t include the upcoming Bond movie, “Skyfall” that is due out this fall. I’m sure the 100 year box set edition will include these, though.
