A Powerhouse Smartphone Battle Between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Apple IPhone 5
January 27th, 2012Apple took the world by storm when it released its first high end smartphone. The iPhone became an instant hit all over the world and many cannot get enough of the outstanding device and as a result, devices that did not feature a touch screen function were rendered old and pointless. Even smartphones with a physical keyboard did not create much hype compared to Apple’s mobile phones. The upcoming iPhone 5 will again set the world buzzing once it makes it release later this ye ar.
The first collection of touch screen based mobile phones from Apple was basically untouchable as no other brand could compete with its hardware and its own world renowned mobile platform, the iOS. Apple had a solid few years and enjoyed success from all over the world. But when the search engine giant, Google, unveiled its open sourced mobile operating system in the Android, things quickly went downhill for Apple.
The Android posed a serious challenge as several reputable mobile brands stood behind the solid operating system. The mobile game changed when Android phones are being rapidly produced to the public. And within just a year, the widespread Android bug is practically present in nearly all smartphones.
Out of all the current brands that are running the heavily influenced Android operating system, none is as widely successful as that of Samsung. And with the Korean manufacturer’s recent release of the Galaxy Nexus and the S2 and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy s3, Apple is seriously in trouble. But Apple is still making a strong stand despite the overwhelming Android fever and it continues to remain competitive.
The fifth generation iPhone will be powered with a monster one point two to one point five gigahertz of A6 quad core processor. It will have a four inch touch screen display and will run an entirely new operating system in the iO6 with 4G capability. The S3, on the other hand, will likely run on the widely rumored Exynos 4412 quad core processor running at one point five gigahertz. The device will also have the already popular and brand new operating sytem in the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
